In her art work Polish artist Katarzyna Bańka combines tools learned from Process work, Anthropology, Gestalt and Shamanism. She mainly works with clay – plaster – unwanted and forgotten objects and natural objects like wood and stone. She notices what is present at the moment in the physical space and from that she creates her narrative and objects. She is really interested in ritual – creating rituals and objects that accompany them. Bańka by being herself in the process is just creating what wants to be born and by doing so is celebrating the nature of reality as it creates itself. Her work is frequently changing.
